1. Where can i see your products apart from via the website?

We have a luxury boutique which stocks everything we sell on this site.

2. How do i use the website?

Select the section or sub-section you require. Look through the products, sometimes these continue onto subsequent pages. These are numbered at the bottom of all the items (i.e. page 1 2 3). Select the product you require. Scroll down the page to read the information related to that product.
You have an option to email this product information to a friend whom it may be of interest to, do this by clicking on the left hand box ‘Send To A Friend’.
To purchase click the left hand box ‘Add To My Bag’. If you require more than one quantity of a product then place the number you require in the associated box next to the total. After this click below ‘Update Cart’ this will update price totals. When on your shopping bag you now have an option to ‘Continue Shopping’ if you wish to look through or purchase more products, or ‘Checkout’ if you have finished shopping and are ready to pay for your items.
You will be directed to the ‘Customer Cart’ page. You will be required to check through your order and fill in relevant necessary details, i.e. delivery address, billing address, delivery option. You can register as a Vainglorious VIP member where your details are stored securely and safely for your next visit or enter details as a non-member from which no information will be saved.
You are then directed to Paypal whom we currently use for our payment service and their payment pages. Paypal will direct you step by step through payment procedures.

3. How secure are my details?

Vainglorious does not and will not ever exchange or display customers information to any other third parties. The information you apply online to your Vainglorious VIP account is simply for your own use and Vainglorious’ use to send customer/member offers.
Details you apply to the shopping account in Paypal is for the discretion of Paypal and your own Paypal account. Please see terms and conditions of Paypal www.paypal.co.uk

4. How Can I Pay?

We use Paypal for our payment system. Paypal accept Switch/Maestro, Solo, Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron and Mastercard. We use a secure payment system and never disclose any of your information to anyone else ever.

5. Can i order from other countries other than the UK?

Yes of course you may. Please see our ‘Delivery’ at the bottom of the page. Paypal accepts many currencies and with currency conversion options. www.paypal.co.uk View the Help for further answers.

6. What happens once i have placed my order?

As soon as your order is place and we endeavour to send a conformation email your order will be packed and dispatched according to the delivery service you selected.
Please see ‘Terms and Conditions’ – ‘On-Line Orders’ for full explanation to this procedure.

7. My order has not arrived yet?

Very occasionally may there be problems with Royal Mail and your order may arrive a little later than intended. Vainglorious always holds proof of postage and records of posting information. A signature upon delivery is always required.
If you experience issue we apologise and suggest reviewing the date of postage to begin.
Royal Mail advises postal times as follows:
Express: Estimated 1-3 working days
Standard: Estimated 3-5 working days
European Airmail: Estimated 3-5 working days
Rest of World Airmail: Estimated 5-7 working days
If your has not arrived by these stated times please check with your local Royal Mail Collection depot as sometimes cards do not get delivered. If this is still unsuccessful contact us immediately using the contact page or phone or email with you *name *delivery address *order number and * order date.

We will endeavour to look into this matter further for you and will also contact Royal Mail ourselves as long as all of the above has been undertaken. As suggested by Royal Mail we will need to allow the following times before reporting a lost package:
For Standard Delivery Orders - We will need to allow a further 5 working days past the last estimated arrival date before we can consider the order lost.
For Express Delivery Orders - We will need to allow a further 3 working days past the last estimated arrival date before we can consider the order lost.
For Europe Orders - We will need to allow a further 10 working days past the last estimated arrival date before we can consider the order lost.
For International Orders - We will need to allow a further 15 working days past the last estimated arrival date before we can consider the order lost.

There is very little issues usually encountered with delivery but if any we apologise and will help in the best way we can

8. How do i return an item or package?

9. Do we sell to trade / wholesale?

We do not sell the collections to any other company/business. We are stockists for these brands. We are however UK Distributors for Andalucía Soap Company. If you have a shop where you would like to stock this range please see ‘Wholesale’ below and contact us directly. You may also refer to the section ‘Bath & Body’ – ‘Soaps’ for further details about each Andalucía Soap Company Soap and ‘Brands’ for their brand outline.

10. I would like more information regarding Vainglorious and any offers they may have?

You have options to either email us your details (name, address, product interests & requests) info@vaingloriousuk.com to be placed on our database for mail correspondence and email offers and so forth. Or register on this website www.vaingloriousuk.com and use ‘My Account’ as a Vainglorious VIP member. Here you will be able to upload a photograph if you choose to, view you previous orders and receive offers only available to VIP members. You can alter your information as much or as little as you feel necessary. Therefore offering you a personal service suited to you. Here at Vainglorious we would like to commit and look after each and every individual customer and offer you the best service we possibly can.

11. The product i want is out of stock, how can i purchase this?

If an item is out of stock it will state this on the item box. You cannot add this to your order. However please contact us via contact page/email/phone and we will inform you when this will be back in stock and may organise to reserve the item if you require.

12. I would like to purchase a gift voucher.

Please contact us to purchase via contact page/email/phone. These are available in £5, £10, £15, £20, £25, £30, £35 .... and so forth. There is no limit to the amount purchased.
These need to be redeemed only via phone orders 01787 476447, email info@vaingloriousuk.com or in store: Vainglorious, 34 High Street, Halstead, Essex CO9 2AP. We will then take you through payment options from which we require card/cheque details-if placed via email you will be sending them through the internet and are responsible for any security risks. However we recommend you phone Vainglorious and we will take payment over the phone using our secure payment machine in store and we do not save any of your details unless requested.

13. I do not wish to purchase products via the website, what other methods do you offer?

We will then take you through payment options from which we require card/cheque details-if placed via email you will be sending them through the internet and are responsible for any security risks. 14. Why may some items take longer for delivery than others?

Any additional delivery times will always be stated on that associated product page. Most products are equal delivery times, however if stated differently on the associated product page, this is possibly due to certain niche brands being produced in smaller quantities and require longer formulation times. This may also be due to stock quantities we are unable to hold. This may also be due to certain items produced as ‘made to order’. If any of this is the case you will be notified as soon as you order to delivery times and we will keep you up-to-date with order progress. However we always endeavour to order supplies in advance so these cases are kept to a minimum.

15. I would like samples of products?

Certain lines offer samples. Please contact us via the contact page/email/phone and we will do our best to supply the requested samples. We endeavour to send samples and information with all orders placed and we do our best to match up samples to your order or requirements.

16. I would like an in-depth list of ingredients to a specific item or items?

Here at Vainglorious we understand the importance of knowing ingredients to each product used. We do our best to provide product descriptions with each item, however to receive full ingredient lists please contact us via the contact page/email/phone requesting which items you require lists for and we will contact you as soon as possible with full exact lists.

17. Do you sell natural and/or organic products?

Vainglorious prides itself in sourcing the best and well-established natural and organic brands as much as possible. Please relate to the ‘Brand’ section to read in-depth descriptions of each brand and what they offer. The majority of our brand are natural and/or organic, however we do also have a selected few which contain man-made ingredients. 18. I have sensitive skin and/or allergies, what products can i use?

Everyones skin is different and it is difficult to generalise how each skin reacts with different products. Even the most natural ingredients can cause allergic reactions. If you know of any allergies you have or any specific ingredients you have allergies too please contact us via contact page/email/phone and we will give you a list of products containing that ingredient for you to therefore avoid.
We always recommend a patch test before using products. To do this use the inside of the wrist to test on as this is the most effective area. Add the product to that area as advised on the product information leaflet or box. Witness immediately and over 24 hours and 42 hours how this product reacts. If any reaction i.e. burning, itching, discolouration, redness, tingling, rash etc immediately wash off with only warm water and gently dab dry.
We do not accept returns of products which have been used/opened or for reasons above unless in extreme circumstances at the discretion of Vainglorious.

19. Who is Claire on ‘Claires Notes’?

Claire is Claire Walmsley-Moss - proprietor and founder of Vainglorious and vaingloriousuk.co.uk and vaingloriousuk.com. Business woman and trained Make-Up Artist.

20. I require a Make-Up Artist for my wedding or event?

Claire Walmsley-Moss, founder of Vainglorious is a trained Make-Up Artist in fashion, film, tv, special effects and general make-up. Claire is also a bridal and wedding Make-Up Artist with a proven record. Please contact Claire via the contact page/email/phone. Claire will email you her ‘Vainglorious presents Make-Up by Claire’ brochure which contains Claire’s training/work history relating to Make-Up, what service Claire offers, wedding Make-Up trials and prices.
Claire will do her best to settle an agreement in terms of service and prices to the best of your requirements.
